About Me

My name is Liberty and I love cake, well this sounds a bit like a support group in a movie like confessions of a shopaholic or something doesn't it. Yes, the truth is I love cake and all things food related a little too much; however that's a good thing because it means I bake most days and ply my friends and family with patisserie goods which although they are frilled about, their waistbands are not.
I created this blog, Liberty's Lavish Cakes (previously Fashionablefood), as a platform to show you my baking creations and to give a little inspiration if you spontaneously decide to pick up a spatula one day. My blog has inventive recipes, which once baked, my friends and family usually devour that day, leaving no trace or crumb of evidence that I had even cooked it. That's why I love taking photographs of what I bake, it lasts a lot longer than the finished product!
